From HRW:

Sport has a long, insidious history of policing women’s bodies. The new documentary “Category: Woman” follows four female champion runners, whose lives and identities are devastated after it is ruled that, in order to compete, they must medically alter their healthy bodies in order to compete. When international sports organizations rule that female athletes must medically alter their healthy bodies, under the guise of “fair play”, 4 champion runners from the Global South, fight back against racism, the policing of women’s bodies in sport and the violation of their human rights.
